JONATHAN P. HAYDEN

Jonathan
Hayden has represented clients in a broad range of business disputes for more
than twenty five years. He spent most of that time at Heller Ehrman,
a prestigious international law firm, where his practice emphasized trial work
and complex litigation matters for individuals, financial institutions, lawyers,
accountants, and others. He has led large teams in complicated nationwide
class actions and tried cases for both plaintiffs and defendants involving
subject matters including consumer and wage and hour class claims, lender liability,
insurance recovery, securities law, and wrongful termination.
Mr. Hayden received his Bachelors Degree at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he graduated in 1978 with Honors. He attended Hastings College of the Law, graduating first in his class (summa cum laude) in 1982. While in law school, Mr. Hayden was a Notes Editor on the Hastings Law Journal, a member of the Top Ten in his first year, a Thurston Society member, and the recipient of a number of other academic awards and prizes. He worked his way through law school as a law clerk at Lovitt & Hannan, Inc.
He joined Heller Ehrman in 1982 and became a shareholder in 1989. Mr. Hayden served in a number of practice and office leadership positions at the firm and ultimately was asked to serve on the four-person committee responsible for the wind down and dissolution of the firm. He has also served on various San Francisco Bar Association groups, including current service on its Board of Directors and a former term as the Chair of its Litigation Section. Mr. Hayden rejoined Lovitt & Hannan, Inc. as Of Counsel in October 2008. He is rated “A.V.” by Martindale Hubbell.
